We
will be celebrating the
work of Gary Grimshaw, the original Grande Ballroom Poster artist.
Raise a glass
of “DETROIT” by M.Lawrence of LMawby’s award winning winery
in Celebration
of the debut of Gary Grimshaw’s
limited edition new design; a signed and numbered silk screen print
entitled “The
Grande Bands”. This
momentous new work pays homage to the bands that made music at the
historic Detroit venue The Grande Ballroom, featured in the film
festival offering: Louder
Than Love The Grande Ballroom Story.
Detroit Urban Design Studio
will feature a fresh collection of fashion from licensed Grimshaw
designs. D.U.D.S. is a company dedicated to bringing distinct,
authentic and historical designs to handbags, clothing and
accessories using exceptional source art from Detroit’s leading
heritage artists while providing the artists a working wage. Began
less than a year ago, D.U.D.S. has already made a splash in the
Detroit area. For the Traverse City debut, special designs have been
created. While our event is one night only, come by InsideOut
Gallery during the film festival week to check it out. Be the first
to see and be seen with a Grimshaw Design Handbag or Tote.
Our gracious
host The InsideOut Gallery features the music
of the True Falsettos during this special event.
